CTR

Meaning

CTR stands for click-through rate: clicks divided by impressions, usually shown as a percentage. Google's Search Console report defines it exactly this way, so a page shown 1,000 times and clicked 50 times has a CTR of 5 percent. A low CTR on a page with many impressions often means the title or description does not match what searchers want, which makes it a good place to look for improvements. Compare periods of equal length. See also: Title tag, Meta description, and the guide Measuring SEO Progress with Search Console and Analytics.
