Meaning

A keyword is a word or phrase that people enter into a search engine, studied in SEO to understand what an audience is looking for. Research starts with your audience, not a tool: note the words customers use, check search suggestions and read your own Search Console queries. Tool estimates of volume are rough guides. Repeating a phrase unnaturally does not help, and Google's spam policies treat keyword stuffing as spam. In India, remember searches in Hindi, regional languages and mixed language.
