Organic traffic

Meaning

Organic traffic is the visits that reach a website from unpaid search results, as opposed to visits that come from paid advertisements. You do not pay a search engine for organic listings, and Google says it does not accept payment to rank a site higher. Organic traffic is usually measured in Search Console as clicks and in web analytics as sessions from the organic search channel. It tends to build up gradually, and no one can promise a particular amount or timeline. See also: PPC, SERP, and the guide Measuring SEO Progress with Search Console and Analytics.
